Snow/sleet/Jan 30 2010

Yay, we finally got some snow/sleet. The kids and Steve and I are really enjoying it. Steve got some cool pictures late last night. I don't know how you guys that get snow all the time deal with the wet clothes, mittens, boots, etc. Enjoy the pictures.

Iam so blessed with friends. Those of you that read this blog, know that I have been going through such a hard time lately. The other day I came home and found flowers, card and a healthy cake all for Steve, Jesse and I. We all have birthdays close to each other. Sorry the cake is gone and we didn't get a picture of it. Thanks guys, you know who you are!

When I am going through a difficult time, I ask the Lord, Why? I may not get the answer right away but the outcome is always wonderfully orchestrated by Him.

'For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

BE STILL

I have been mediating Psalm 46:10.


Be still and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.

Do I really know what it means to be still? There is so much busyness around us today. I have a plaque above our fireplace that has this verse on it and I see it everyday several times a day.

Another verse that I have been mediating on is Matt 6:34. Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of itself.

It is so easy to worry. Where does worry come from? It is a lack of trust in God. The Lord is reminding me to Be still and listen for His voice and not to worry about tomorrow and not to be fearful.
